This is a highly effective way of communicating messages as people tend to avoid lists and tables (unless they are accountants and thus used to it!). People are used to scanning through detail due to lack of time or patience as we are bombarded with information everyday. One of the examples shown here required me to draw buildings that don't exist yet (only as CGI mockups). They also all need to be to scale in terms of height.
