 Sing like the canary

There's so much to see in Canary Wharf, from architecture to public realm design and sculptures. It's one, possibly my favourite, area of London. It's a vast estate with a very busy population all throughout the week. Only a decade ago it used to be 'dead' at weekends as it was mainly a working business district. Now people live and work there. This blog doesn't really do it justice because there's a lot of 'nuggets' to see. I've avoided showing you the obvious ones and focused on some of the newly established sculptures and architecture instead. The buildings that have really caught my eye recently are Wood Wharf, designed by Herzog de Meuron architects, the Société Générale Building by KPF architects and its residential neighbour Newfoundland Tower by Horden Cherry Lee Architects.
